therapy focused on you

Individual Therapy

I support people who live with chronic pain, chronic illness, anxiety, or depression. Frequently, there’s a full range of emotions and experiences that come with living with persistent conditions, like grief, identity loss, stress, anxiety, depression, hopelessness, anger, guilt, or frustration (to name just a few). Having a space to name and talk about your experiences can be tremendously helpful.

I also know that bridging care to streamline and reduce your workload can be key to managing chronic pain and chronic illness. I’ve worked alongside physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, pelvic floor therapists, and vestibular therapists for over ten years. If I can be an effective member of your care team, let’s talk about it.

If you’re working with me for persistent pain, I’ll see if you want to include some pain science education. Research shows that knowledge can be instrumental in beginning to reduce pain. And I’ll see if you want to integrate bodily relearning into psychotherapy.

I work hard to empower you and find what resonates with you in the moment, while keeping your ultimate goals in mind as I offer those paths. If you have ever read a “choose your own adventure” book, it might feel familiar. There are moments in therapy where we find ourselves with opportunities to explore different pathways. We choose one, and trust that there are many paths to insights and your goals.

I offer trauma-sensitive, neuroaffirming holistic therapy that draws from a variety of therapeutic methods. I have a strong background in somatics and mindfulness, which I frequently blend with different approaches like parts work, attachment theory, and neuroscience.
